Our First Baby

Brandon and I are expecting our first child this June. I found out Columbus Day, October 12, 2009. I went for my first ultrasound on November 12 and saw the baby and it's heartbeat. Brandon was at work so my mom went with me to the doctor's appointment. December 10 I had my 2nd doctor's appointment and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. The heart rate was 156 beats per minute. Wednesday, December 23 will be the beginning of my 2nd trimester. I am ready for the morning sickness to slow down and my energy level to come up.

Our First Home

We are buying a house from Lennar and they are in the process of building the home. The great thing about not buying an inventory home is that we got to decided our brick, exterior color, counter tops, tile and carpet. This is a spec house so we can not change anything about the home, this is the downfall.

We chose the Carthage plan and it is 2,377 sq.ft., 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and 2 car garage.







Our future neighborhood is The Falls at Imperial Oaks and is a young, active family community. It has a rec center with a workout facility and free yoga classes. They also have a swimming pool, splash pad, park, tennis courts, volley ball, and 2 dog parks.

We are very excited about purchasing our first home.


They poured the slab on Wednesday, March 11th and started framing the house on Monday, March 16th.
